Tasneem Gadiwala

M.A., M.L.I.Sc.

With over 15 years of experience in the Library and Knowledge Management field, commencing her career at one of the busiest Library in the country, the British Council, Mumbai, our founder Tasneem Gadiwala moved on to erstwhile RSM & Co and then to Tata Teleservices. She set up KMLC a decade back, and has an impressive list of clientele.

Fresh from Library Science school, Tasneem got a major break at the prestigious British Council Library (Mumbai). In the 6 years that she was with the British Council, she handled a whole gamut of Library operations from Book Processing to Lending Services to providing Information using Online Databases.

She was also involved in the collection development and relaunch of the revamped and expanded Children’s Library section. She reclassified the Audio CD collection for intuitive user access and played a major role in devising the keyword search for the Library catalogue on the web.

With the experience gained at British Council, Tasneem moved on to single handedly set up the Library of erstwhile RSM & Co. (now part of PricewaterhouseCoopers Ltd,) and also revamp its Knowledge Management Database.

At RSM, she was responsible for streamlining the process of ordering and circulation of books and journals, centralizing the subscriptions of online databases and information provision to staff across all locations in the form of daily and weekly updates from journals and online databases.

After RSM, Tasneem had a short stint with Tata Teleservices where she was responsible for setting up its Knowledge Management Database.

Tasneem won the Special Prize (Students Category) for the essay competition ‘Libraries in 2020 A.D. held at S.N.D.T University, Mumbai. She is a Life Member of IASLIC (Indian Association of Special Libraries and Information Centres).
