What is HiFi Library?

Hifi Library – a Library which caters to books for all age groups, right from your 2 year olds to the elderly.

We have just launched HiFi Library, which has a unique collection of books, Children’s Books and Comics, which will be delivered right at your doorstep. Our collection includes books ranging from popular Fiction , Indian writers, Health and nutrition, Management, Self-help, Spirituality, Biographies to name a few and ofcourse a wide range of Children’s books and popular Comics.

We will be adding new books in the General and Children’s collection every week.

Who runs HiFi Library?

HiFi Library is the venture of KMLC [Knowledge Management & Library Consultants]. KMLC has been in the field of Library consulting for over a decade. Kmlc.in

It has been the dream of the founder of KMLC – Tasneem Gadiwala to setup a Library for the young and old from the time she was a student of Library Science. With the launch of HiFi Library, this dream has turned into a reality. The Library follows a delivery model, the subscription and payment for the membership is done Online. Members can view the catalogue and reserve books to be home delivered. The Library is accessible 24*7, saves the time of the members to travel to the Library only during the Library hours.

Which places are the books delivered?

HiFi Library is based in Pune. Since we have just launched the Library, currently we have restricted the delivery to Pune members only. But, yes, soon we will be delivering to other cities across India too.

Does HiFi Library charge for home delivery of books?

No, all pickup and delivery of books are free of cost. If you are not at home and the delivery is returned. We will charge you for resending the books.

How do I Gift a Membership?

Click on "Gift a Membership". Choose the membership plan that you would like to Gift. Fill in your details and the details of the person whom you want to gift a membership. You can add a message .i.e. Birthday Gift. Make the payment for the subscription plan that you are gifting. You will receive an email and so will the person who has been gifted the membership.

How do I pay for my membership?

You can pay for your membership vi UPI / Credit card/Debit Card / Net banking / Digital Wallets. All your Online transactions are secured with 128 bit SSL encryption and two factor authentication with PayUmoney.

Is my credit card data safe?

HiFi Library does not collect your credit card/debit card or Bank Account details. After Clicking on "Pay now" button, you will be directed to PayUmoney’s secure gateway for payment. After completing the payment process, you will be redirected to HiFiLibrary.com

Can I take more than 1 membership in the same name?

If you need to borrow more books at a time, you can take more than 1 membership, but the email id for each membership account should be unique.

What do I do if I forget my password?

To retrieve your password, click on "Login" and then click on “Forgot Password”. Now enter the email id registered with HiFiLibrary.com and press “Submit”. Your password would be sent to your registered email address.

Can I change my membership plan?

When your membership is due for renewal, you can choose a different period of your plan or you can even choose a different type of membership.

Can I cancel my membership?

We are sure, once you take the membership you will get hooked on the books. But, if you wish to cancel your membership, email us at customercare@hifilibrary.com mentioning your user id. We will get the borrowed books collected and then refund the deposit amount.

How do I renew my membership?

We will send you an email one week before the expiry of your membership. To renew your membership, login to your account, and choose the renewal option. You can even change your membership plan while renewing the membership.

Are there any late charges for not renewing the membership on or before its expiry?

No books will be issued to you if your membership is not renewed. Please renew the membership within 10 days of its expiry, on failing to do so, you will need to return all borrowed books to the Library and your membership will be cancelled.

Do I get a refund if I stop my membership or don’t renew it?

All borrowed books need to be returned to the Library in good condition. The deposit amount will then be refunded, if you stop the membership midway or do not renew it.

How do I login?

On filling the membership registration form and completing the payment process, you will get a user id and password. You can login using the same.

Can I change my password?

Yes, after logging in your account, you have an option to change your password.


Library Book Searching and Issue-Return Process

How do I search for the books?

The ‘Search the Catalogue’ option helps you search for books by title, author and subject (i.e. category). We also have an Advanced Search option, where you can combine the search options like subject and author and narrow your search.

How many books can I borrow at a time?

The number of books that you can borrow at a time will depend on the membership plan that you have chosen.

How long can I keep a book with me?

There is no due date for a book. But the sooner you return the borrowed books, the more books you will be able to borrow.

What is the process of selecting books for home delivery?

Search for the book in the Library Catalogue. Add the book on the ’Place Hold’ option. Please put atleast 5 books on hold. We will be sending you the first 2 books that are available.

How do I know when a book is couriered to me?

You will receive an email with the titles of the books that are couriered to you.

In how many days are the books delivered?

We aim to deliver the books within 2-3 working days from the moment you request a delivery. This might however get delayed, if there is any unfavorable situation like bandh, storm, heavy rain, flooding or any other natural calamity.

What if the books sent to me are not in good condition?

If you find that the books sent to you are not in good condition, then we request you to not accept the delivery, and register the issue with us by mailing us at customercare@hifilibrary.com We will address the issue as soon as possible, and meanwhile, we would send you the next set of books.

What happens if I lose a borrowed Library book?

If a book that you have been issued gets lost, please email us at customercare@hifilibrary.com mentioning your user id and the title of the book that is lost. You will need to pay the cost of replacement of the same book.

After I finish reading, how do I get my next set of books?

After you have finished reading, please press "Pickup and deliver" (if you want the next book to be delivered) or just "Pickup" (if you do not want the next set of books now). We would pickup the books that you have with you and deliver the next set of books from your booklist (if you have selected for pikcup and delivery) within 2-3 working days.

Can I recommend a book to be added to the Library collection?

We welcome suggestions from our Library members. Login to your account, click on the link ‘Purchase Suggestion’. Provide the details of the book that you want added to the Library. We will procure the book after our review committee gives consent for the same.

Can I Donate Books to the Library?

Yes, we do accept donated books, provided the books are in good condition, and fall within our criteria of book selection. Click on ‘Donate A Book’ option on the Homepage and fill in your details. We will contact you for more details on the books that you wish to donate.
